Are you one of millions of Americans with a United Concordia dental insurance plan? Then congratulations – your dentist in Royse City is in-network! Along with having one of the largest networks in the country, United Concordia also has some of the best coverage for patients visiting an in-network dentist. Since we’re familiar with their various policies, our team can review your plan, help you navigate your benefits, and make sure you save as much money as possible on quality dental care.

United Concordia has multiple different dental insurance plans to choose from. This gives you the flexibility of being able to pick what works best for your coverage needs and budget, but also means that benefits and fees can vary from policy to policy. You might have a plan with a relatively high premium that prioritizes more coverage for more services, or a low-premium one that is less expensive and has fewer benefits. The best way to figure out what sort of coverage you’re entitled to is to look at your deductible, what your plan defines as a “major restorative treatment” and a “minor restorative treatment,” and your coinsurance.
Your deductible tells you how much money you have to pay out of pocket before certain benefits will “kick in.” Checkup and cleaning appointments are usually exempt from this restriction, so most patients can receive two free checkups and cleanings per year.
“Minor” restorations typically receive more coverage than “major” restorations. It’s important to see which treatments fall under these two categories, though, because not every insurance provider defines them in the same way.
Coinsurance is the percentage of treatment costs you’ll be responsible for after meeting your deductible. For example, if your policy has an 80/20 coinsurance for dental fillings, that means United Concordia will pay for 80% of your treatment costs, while you’ll pay for the remaining 20%.

Not sure who provides your dental insurance? We know that Royse City ISD provides its employees with United Concordia dental insurance! Since opting out of your workplace’s chosen dental insurance requires signing some paperwork, chances are if you’re unsure, you’re probably receiving dental insurance through United Concordia.
